Online Mediation: Your Path to Solutions

Online Mediation: Your Path to Solutions The Mediation Process Mediation Links

General Information

Use the Internet to perform mediation. It is a natural extension of traditional dispute resolution techniques.  While face-to-face mediation is usually preferable, a "virtual" meeting of the parties can also achieve the same positive results: resolving disputes.

Online mediation has some advantages over a traditional face-to-face mediation: the parties and the mediator do not have to be in the same location, city or time-zone; the mediation can occur outside of traditional business hours; and  the parties can participate from their own office or home.

The Online Mediation Process

What the process entails is dealing with a conflict between parties and finding a solution.  Online mediation offers an easy way to get to a resolution because it can be done anytime and from anywhere.  I am offering my services at little to no fee because I feel that online mediation is the future.  The legal profession is cluttered with drawn out, expensive cases when mediation could get to a quicker and cheaper resolution.

Areas of Mediation

Mediation is widely used in all sorts of disputes, ranging from divorces to civil lawsuits to very complex public policy problems to international conflicts. Many disputes that have not responded to an initial attempt at negotiation can still be settled through mediation. Even when conflicts are seemingly intractable, they sometimes yield to mediation. Mediation is of particular importance in long-running, deep-rooted conflicts, as this type of conflict is rarely resolved without such outside assistance. Even if the full range of grievances cannot be resolved, mediation is often useful for dealing with particular limited aspects of the wider conflict.

How Mediation Works Online

When I am contacted about a dispute I will ask both parties to send me information about the dispute.  Then I will arrange for all the parties to meet along with myself to discuss solutions and when an agreement is reached I will personally put the agreement into writing and email it to all parties for them to sign and return so every party will have a copy of the agreement.
